To the Overlords of HR, who determine my employed fate in the corporate world, what they see is a professional designer who encompasses more than 12 years of working experience.
They can see an individual with a strong foundation in design principles, trends, and concepts. An individual that diligently works to ensure the highest quality of work and execution of ideas. They can see someone who has the capacity to understand the assignment, and deliver without complications.

But what they DO NOT see, is the near 40 years of my existence for the sole purpose of being a creative contributor. They do not see the evolution of inspiration that pulled me to pick up a pencil, to turn on Photoshop 3.0 and to start learning how to use a Pen tool. They do not see the hundreds of hours and days poured into other areas of discipline and subject matters, as there can be no greater way to improve your visual artistry, then to learn the art of other subjects.

They do not see all the facets of my life, and all of the influences that have shaped my design identity and how can they? They have to read 1,000 applications a day, so it is highly doubtful that they have the capacity to see the big picture on what I bring as an creative individual.

I am here to relay an important message:
